First Shave

As a photographer and mother, I love to catch those precious and ever-so-fleeting moments of childhood. Sometimes you're lucky enough to grab your camera and get it before they even know you're there! I caught him in the bathroom using up all of my husbands shaving cream. The counters were a mess and his face was so serious. I was very thankful he didn't find the razors-- a spoon was a much better choice! I quiety ran to my camera bag hit a few settings and caught him from the mirror view without him knowing I was there until he heard the shutter. Thank goodness I had already caught it with one shot!

Wedding Season

Hot Mom's Photoshoot

We are currently looking for a haristylist, make-up artist, and a one or two mom's to use as advertisement models for our May "hot moms" mini-sessions.

The mini-sessions will include: a hair and make-up appointement, fashion/wardrobe consultation, and a customized half-hour photoshoot at a fantastic location ALL geared to make you look fabulous.

Happy Anniversary!

It is 2010 and we recently renewed our business for the year. It has been an eventful and growing year. It really surpassed all my expectations!

This year has started off with lots of fun in the studio. I am missing the outdoors but enjoying the studio this winter. The prop shop is slowly expanding beyond its walls as we get in new and fun pieces in, many of which I have yet to use. It has been fun using the new studio lights there is really no comparison to our old set-up. If you haven't been to the new studio, it is GREAT!

I am hoping everyone had a fabulous Holiday season. I am looking forward to creating my new line of cards this year as well as some fun textures, actions, and presets.

I am looking forward to lots of new experiences and meeting new friends this year!

Summer Solstice Art Auction

The auction will be held Friday Evening June 20th at Eola Winery Salem, Oregon and will benefit adults with developmental disabilities.

First session in new studio

This sweet girl was our first session in the new studio. We put up the ceiling tracks for the backdrops literally the night before. This photo is taken with a new masterwork hand painted muslin. I can't claim the centerpiece but she is a beauty!

STUDIO!!!

I am finishing up a deal to rent studio space and am THRILLED to finally have a home for my props and backdrops. The majority of my work will still be oudoors because NOTHING beats natural light-- however, it will be SOOOOOO handy to have a studio!!!!

The site is fully live, up and running--yeah! I have so much portfolio work to catch up on to update galleries. Lots of ideas in the works-- a spring photo party for kids, I am thinking about borrowing a real bunny (Thank you Tiffany for the idea)!

I went a little overboard antiquing, ordering props, and backdrops. I can't wait to make good use of them and I have huge plans. I give it another week, two tops, before we start seeing blooms--I am getting antsy for all the flowers!!!

Tea Party Shoot

Zozobug baby photoshoot scheduled for Saturday March 21st (at the crack of dawn). This will be a major coffee day for sure! We will be shooting with 5 models and have private early entry to the tulip farm. We are going to create a tea party scene in the middle of a tulip field. This is going to be a blast!

Backdrops

I just ordered two AWESOME new backdrops and I am so excited to use them! I got a "diamond cloth TM" backdrop in black-- it is suppose to be the blackest possible backdrop on the market and absorb all light to bring more contrast to your subject. I have great plans for this new drop. I also ordered a new masterworks backdrop in warm tones-- it should be a lot of fun as well.

Antiquing Junkie!

I am going antiquing this weekend in search of fun new things to use as props. I found the most adorable little upolstered stool for kids and a wash tub-- can't wait to use them. I am hoping for a pram (not wicker) but we'll see.
